Notice of Vacancy in the Office of Councillor, Bryncoch South Ward

A casual vacancy exists in the Office of Councillor in the Bryncoch South Ward following the resignation of a Councillor.  The Notice of Vacancy was published on the Council’s website as a Public Notice and at its community centres on 17 June 2026.  The vacancy needs to be filled either by election or co-option.  If, within fourteen (working) days after the 17 June 2026, a request for an election to fill the said vacancy is made by TEN electors from the Ward, an election will be held to fill the vacancy.  The request must be made in writing to The Chief Executive’s Office, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, Civic Centre, PORT TALBOT SA13 1PJ. If no such request is made, the vacancy will be filled by the Community Council.
