Vacancy for Community Councillor, Cadoxton Ward

A casual vacancy exists in the Office of Councillor in the Cadoxton Ward following the resignation of a Councillor.  The Notice of Vacancy was published on the Council’s website and at its community centres on 04 February 2026.  The vacancy needs to be filled either by election or co-option.  If, within fourteen (working) days after the 04 February 2026, a request for an election to fill the said vacancy is made by TEN electors from the Ward, an election will be held to fill the vacancy.  The request must be made in writing to The Chief Executive’s Office, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, Civic Centre, PORT TALBOT SA13 1PJ. If no such request is made, the vacancy will be filled by the Community Council.  The Notice of Vacancy may be viewed on the website under “Documents/Public Notices”
