Cadoxton Playground is Open!

After all the planning and construction work, Blaenhonddan Community Council is pleased to announce that the new Cadoxton Playground is now open. The Council has worked hard with its partners for over 2 years to ensure that sufficient funding and planning permission were in place to allow it to deliver the scheme, and is confident that visitors will enjoy the new facilities. They are a marked improvement on the previous playground and provide a safe challenging environment for children to enjoy. The playground is enclosed by fencing and only assistance dogs are allowed with signs to be erected next week. Dog walkers will still be able to enjoy the rest of the Park responsibly. Temporary gates into the Park will be installed soon, and new bespoke gates are being designed with input from local children for eventual installation.

Councillor Joanna Hale, Chairman of Blaenhonddan Community Council said: “I am very pleased that we have delivered this scheme. There were some difficulties that delayed our start but staff, contractors and funding partners have worked together to deliver a new playground and a significant addition to the Council’s portfolio of play facilities.”
